Google One App Now Available For Download From Play Store

Even though Google has yet to upgrade paid Google Drive accounts to Google One, the Google One app is now available for download from the Google Play Store. The listing for the app shows that the Google One application will allow users to manage their storage plans. For example, users will be able to view the amount of storage that Google Drive, Gmail, and Google Photos consume, as well as the amount of storage that is currently shared with other users included in the shared storage plan. Furthermore, the app will also permit account holders to set how much storage they will allocate to their family members or other users. Moreover, the Google One app will also enable consumers to contact the tech support team of the search giant, either through calls or chat, for any assistance that they may require. Last but not the least, the app will also allow users to access their member benefits like Google Play credits and special discounts with hotels.

Google One was announced by the search giant earlier this month. During the announcement, the tech firm also mentioned that it will now offer 2TB of cloud storage for $9.99 per month, which is an upgrade over the 1TB of cloud storage that the company previously offered for the same price. Even the cheapest storage plan, which comes with 100GB of cloud storage and costs $2.99 per month, will still come with all of the Google One features, including member benefits and customer service support. It should be noted that the live customer service support and member benefits will be available not only to the account holder but also to other users included in the shared storage plan.

Google mentioned in a reply to a user review that paid Google Drive subscribers in the United States will soon receive an email within the next few weeks that notifies the user that their account has been upgraded. However, users in other countries will have to wait for a longer period of time before their accounts are upgraded. Interested users may now download the app from the Google Play Store, although they will only see a reminder that the service will be rolling out to more locations in the following months. They will also see a button for users to sign up for updates regarding the Google One service.
