July security update landing on the Galaxy S6 in Europe

Samsung has started pushing out an update, which transports all of the patches included in this month’s security release, as well as a couple of additional bug fixes and stability improvements, for the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge in Europe.

The Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 edge have already reached the end of their two-year support period, so it’s nice to see Samsung release regular maintenance updates for them — but exactly how long it’s planning to keep it up for remains unknown.

To check to see if the upgrade is ready for your Galaxy S6 or Galaxy S6 edge, open up Settings, tap Software Update, then press Download Updates Manually. Alternatively, you can wait until you receive an alert prompting you to download and install the OTA.
