Over 3 million people visited Samsung’s Galaxy S8 experience zones

Samsung’s marketing push for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 appears to be paying off. The company has set up experience zones across its home country of South Korea where people can come and test the company’s latest flagship smartphone. Samsung has said today that since these experience zones were set up last month, more than 3 million people have visited them.

The company also confirmed last week that it had sold over a million units of the Galaxy S8 after launch. The new flagship proved to be a record-breaker for the company as it brought in more than one million pre-orders in early April.

The Galaxy S8 has hit the million sales figure in South Korea far more quickly than the Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S7 ever did, they achieved the milestone in 75 and 74 days respectively. Samsung also confirmed recently that it has sold more than 5 million unit of the Galaxy S8 globally since launch.

Strong sales of the Galaxy S8 are expected to have a visible positive impact on the company’s balance sheets after the third quarter. Samsung continues to roll out the Galaxy S8 in additional markets. It launched the handset in China last week and confirmed recently that the Galaxy S8 will be released in Japan by early next month.
