Samsung launches the Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) in Brazil

According to TelecomPaper, Samsung has today launched the long-rumored Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) in Brazil. The handsets, which are expected to be available to purchase from the firm’s online store sometime over the course of the next couple of weeks, are reportedly priced at BRL 2,100 ($668) and BRL 2,300 ($732), respectively, in the region.

Just in case you missed its announcement, the Galaxy A5 (2017) is a capable mid-to-high-end device, which sports a 5.2-inch Full HD display, a 1.9GHz Exynos 7880 Octa CPU, a Mali-T830MP3 GPU, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of expandable internal storage, a 16MP front- and rear-facing camera and a 3,000mAh non-removable battery. It’s also IP68 certified and ships with compatibility for Samsung Pay.

Both in terms of design and internals, the Galaxy A7 (2017) is almost identical to the Galaxy A5 (2017). It packs the same processor, GPU, RAM module and camera unit. The only notable differences between it and its brethren is that it sports a larger 5.7-inch Full HD panel and a 3,600mAh battery, which push it into the affordable ‘phablet’ market.

As always, we’ll be sure let you know as soon as the handsets are available to purchase — so make sure you keep your browser pointed to SamMobile for all the details.
